Kol Shalom Portland Oregon - Community for Humanistic Judaism

Programs & Activities

Kol Shalom celebrates Shabbats and Jewish Holidays with our own ritual oriented to humanist philosophy.  Our members organize Havdalah potluck dinner social events at members' homes, two or three times a year.  Sunday Forum programs offer speakers on a wide variety of topics twice a month.   "Let's Talk" programs take place when a member wants to present a program on a special interest. We host Welcoming Socials about three times a year that are opportunities for newcomers to become better acquainted with Kol Shalom, its philosophy and its members.  There are also summer backyard potluck picnics, an annual men's brunch, and special events when an opportunity arises.
