Join us for some Yiddish fun and a bit of learning.
We will listen to and read Yiddish songs. In our text, Yiddish In 10 Lessons by Chaim Werdyger, we will stick with verbs, Lesson 3, particularly pages 52-58 about the past tense. Please feel free, though, to read the previous pages about the present tense and the pages that follow about the future tense (in many ways the simplest tense in Yiddish).
Also, Bentzion (our Yiddish Maven /facilitator just returned from a week speaking and learning and singing and dancing in Yiddish in Sounion, Greece, and seeing Poseidon's Temple, and has some songs and websites to show us and some Greek Yiddish tales.
As usual, there'll be rugelakh and hamentaschen, AND all, including your friends, are welcome.
