Yiddish Club - Kumt ayner, kumt aleh (come one, come all)!

We'll read and talk about songs, and see and hear them performed on YouTube. Itsik Hot Khasene Gehat, a comic song about marriage, Yosl Un Sore-Dvoshe, a comic song about pre-marriage and marriage, and S'Iz Nito Keyn Nekhtn, an existential drinking song.

We'll go back verbs again, in Lesson 3 of our text, Yiddish In 10 Lessons, and also talk more about losh-koydeshdike (Hebrew) words in Yiddish. Plus, I have a page for you that will answer all of the questions you wanted to ask about Yiddish grammar but were afraid to. It's in Yiddish but I'll translate and we'll talk about the grammar. And we'll write a little Yiddish using the Lexilogos online Yiddish alphabet, if time permits.

As usual, there'll be rugelakh and hamentaschen.

Join us and have a little Yiddish fun - bring friends and family all are welcome!
