  • Laurealhurst Park - Area F SE Cesar Chavez and SE Stark St. Portland, OR USA (map)

This ceremony is especially suitable for families and children. We will gather at the picnic tables next to playground and will then walk to pond for our service.

We will follow the Oregon Health Authority’s guidelines for outdoor social gatherings. Bring masks, bird seed suitable for ducks will provided.

Tashlikh, from the root meaning “to castaway,” is the practice by which people around Rosh Hashanah go to a flowing body of water and symbolically “throw away” all the ways they “missed the mark” during the past year. The Hebrew word for “sin'“ literally means “missing the mark,” as with a target.

Best parking is on SE Ankeny W. of Cesar Chavez.
