Parker Berger, Operations Manager for The Western Farm Workers Association (WFWA), will speak about the needs of migrants and other low wage workers, the services and benefits provided by his agency, and the local and global implications of climate change on poverty. Through their 11 point self-help benefit program, WFWA provides legal assistance, medical and dental care, food, clothing, school supplies and other survival benefits to its members. It works to unite, advocate and organize against the policies that keep people poor and destroy our environment.
