Have you been wanting to volunteer your time but felt overwhelmed by the possibilities?  Are your pre-teen/teenage children looking for community service opportunities but don’t know where to start?  Then please join us on September 10th at 4:00 at the home of Karen Lamorticella.  We will have snacks and drinks aplenty while we explore and discuss our involvement with social justice organizations.  We want to hear from all of you, your passions and concerns, as well as share our individual commitments.   Speakers will present the work of non-profits representing a wide range of areas of interest including Phoenix Rising, IRCO (Immigrant & Refugee Community Organization), NAC (Never Again Coalition), Portland Literacy Council, PathHome, to name a few.  We will also welcome Adele Thompson, chair of MACG’s (Metropolitan Alliance for the Common Good) climate action team.
